When my seeds have germinated.

After my seeds have erminated i put some 2 inch by 1 inch pieces of wood under each end of the trays to lift them up off the heating pad.Also i take off the plastic wrap from the top of the seed tray,as this is noy needed anymore.I leave them on the wood for one more week before i move them to the greenhouse.My grow lights are only on 12 hours a day,not 14 to 16 houres like most books say,this is just a waste of electric.My seedlings have been in the greenhouse a week now and the daylight hours are only 12 to 13 hours long and my plants do fine.Also temperature, again most books say grow your plants at 55 to 60F,i only have a small electric heater and it goes down to 40F some nights and i don't have a problem with my plants.When my seedlings are big enough i transplant them into larger trays,i will show you how i do this in my next post.
